Scallops with Bacon, Mushrooms and Chives
Tender Sea Scallops are sautéed and paired with bacon, shiitake mushrooms, chives, garlic and butter. An incredibly elegant, easy to make dinner recipe with only 5 ingredients!
No joke, sea scallops are one of my favorite things ever.
They’re so tender, plump and juicy; they taste buttery and practically melt in your mouth after you take a bite of one.
Everyone knows scallops pair well with bacon but did you know that they also pair well with mushrooms? I didn’t know they paired well with mushrooms until recently; I found out this useful information while reading about what scallops pair well with in the Flavor Bible. You guys, BUY THE FLAVOR BIBLE! It’s full of information that will help you create delicious meals – look up an ingredient such as a meat, vegetable or herb and the book will list what other foods, spices and herbs pair well with it.
This recipe was super simple to make because it only uses 5 ingredients and one cooking skillet. It serves two but you can double or triple or do whatever you need to do to feed the people you need to feed. If you can’t find sea scallops in your area, I recommend ordering from Vital Choice because they offer sustainably caught wild seafood.
So let’s get onto the recipe!
