Cedar Plank Tilapia with Basil Cream Sauce

Dinner is ready in under thirty minutes when you opt for this Cedar Plank Tilapia with Basil Cream Sauce.

During the weekends, and even sometimes during the week, Ken and I like to grill. He does the grilling; I prepare the food for the grill as well as the side dishes. This past Saturday was no exception to our weekly grilling events (sans the time we ran out of propane and didn’t get a refill for a couple of weeks) so while Ken was washing the cars, I started preparing some sides, as well as a wonderful cream sauce, to go with the cedar plank tilapia that Ken would be grilling later that evening. Please enjoy the recipe.

  2. Ok now this looks amazing, we love tilapia so now we are going to try this basil cream sauce!

  3. Yum! I bought some cedar planks I have yet to use and have fresh basil sitting in my flower pot – I will definitely be trying this. Thanks for posting it!

  4. This looks so good!!! I don't eat much meat (although I love a great cheeseburger once in awhile) but I get so bored with fish sometimes, so I get to the point where my diet starts to really lack in protein. This looks like a good way to make dinner delicious again! The basil cream sauce sounds so yummy and I love cooking on a cedar plank!

  5. I've always wanted to try the wood plank grilling, but they have so many wood options at the store that I can't pick! Did much of the cedar flavor get into the fish?

  6. Looks great! Thanks for sharing at the All Star Block Party.

  7. This looks divine! I shy away from grilling because I never seem to get it just right. It'll turn out dry, too dark, not done, etc. I'm going to have to work on this skill so I can try your fabulous recipe. Thanks for sharing!
