This smoothie is crazy good.

It’s filled with peanut butter, Carnation Breakfast Essentials milk chocolate powder, and bananas. It’s super easy to make. You can make it the night before for an easy grab and go breakfast. Or you can make it in the morning. It only takes about 5 minutes to whip it together.

Slurp it up while you’re getting ready for work, school, errands, insert agenda item here.

I’m one of those people who always feels like they’re running late in the morning. I get distracted. Sometimes I’m distracted by breakfast. Sometimes I’m distracted by the news. Whatever the distraction may be, it almost always results in me eating breakfast  at work.

Do you have distractions in the morning too?

Lately I’ve been making smoothies in the morning. It’s my fun little attempt at making breakfast easy peasy during the work week. I’d say it’s been working pretty well. Wouldn’t you?

I picked up some Carnation Breakfast Essentials Milk Chocolate Powder from Wal-Mart.

Then I went to town making peanut butter smoothies. I’m a peanut butterholic. I’ll eat it out of the jar. I’ll dip graham crackers in it. I’ll drink it.

Haha, drinking peanut butter. That would be hard to do. But it isn’t hard to do when the peanut butter is in a smoothie.

I made this smoothie on a Sunday evening. I told Ken he could have one for breakfast in the morning. But he couldn’t wait. He slurped that smoothie down in two minutes flat.

Cover and store in your refrigerator for and easy grab and go breakfast the following day.

You know what I love about Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder? It’s full of nutritional benefits. 13 grams of protein per serving means it will help you stay full for a good part of the morning. It also tastes amazing. I feel like I’m indulging on an indlugent chocolate milkshake when I drink this stuff.

Speaking of shakes, sometimes I’m too lazy to use my blender. When that happens, I make a quick shake with Carnation Breakfast Essentials. It’s crazy easy to do. Throw some of the powder and your favorite milk into a cup. Mix it up. Sip with a straw.

But right now, I can’t get enough of these Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothies. I’ve been pulling out the blender as much as I can!

  16. I live in Aruba and we make a hot peanut butter drink here. It is very rich and very delicious. It’s an oldtime family recipe. So don’t laugh when you talk about drinking peanut butter. We drink it here all the time.

    • Sounds good! What do you put in the hot peanut butter drink along with the peanut butter?

    • Hi Julie. I do not have single serve measurements because we make it in big batches. For a 40 oz p.b.jar you need water, small can condensed milk, cinnamon powder, cinnamon sticks and dash of salt. In a big pot add the p.b. and water. And keep mashing the p.b. to make it to a liquid. Keep adding water. It has to be thick not too watery. Put on stove at low heat. Add cond. milk, 2tbsp cinnamon, 2 stick cinnamon, 1tsp salt. This is all to taste. You have to keep stirring so it won’t burn. And keep tasting till you like the consistency and taste. Sorry I do not have exact measurements but it’s all tasting. Leftovers stay well in refrigerator for up to a week. Just heat in microwave. Enjoy!!!

      • Hi Loida,

Thanks for the recipe info! I will have to give it a try sometime soon. It sounds really good and I LOVE peanut butter so much. :)

        Have a great weekend!
