Marvelous Mondays Link Party 76

Good evening and welcome to Marvelous Mondays Link Party 76. We hope you had a fantastic week. Are you ready for Christmas?

What have fellow host Paula and I been up to this week?

Paula shared these Mint Chocolate Chip Walnut CookiesMint-Chocolate-Chip-Walnut-Cookies-w3

I shared these Mocha Peppermint Cookie BarsPeppermint Mocha Cookie Bars

Our most viewed link was these Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Balls from I Heart Eatingoreo-cookie-balls-600-wm

My fav from last week was these Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Muffins by Lemons for LuluRed-Velvet-Muffins-1

Finals are this week. Well, I took one final on Thursday but I will be taking two more this week. Then it’s the countdown to the end…the end of school, that is. Next semester is my last semester. You don’t know how happy this makes me. I’ve been taking classes since 2003. Yes, I’m one of those people. Not really a slacker, just not interested in school. That is why I didn’t go right after I graduated high school in 2000. Oh how I wish I had done that but it is what it is. I’m almost done now and I’m pretty proud of myself for finally getting to the last three classes of the bachelors degree.

Any of you ever been to Raleigh, NC? Early next year we will be paying Raleigh a visit for vacation. We’ll do some site-seeing, possible drive west to the mountains of NC and maybe even drive up to Virginia for a day. I’ve heard it’s beautiful up there. And who knows, maybe I’ll get to finally see snow. True Floridian right here. I’ve never seen snow.

A few rules:

  • Please follow your hosts and co-hosts via Twitter, Blog Lovin, Facebook, or email (at the right sidebar top). Please leave a comment stating how you followed so your host can follow you back. Your host and co-host links can be found at the top of the party post.
  • Please visit at least 2 other links. I suggest leaving a comment to let them know that you stopped by.
  • Grab a button. It’s not mandatory but it helps get the word out about the party.
  • Link up your recipes, crafts or DIY projects. Please link something that you made. No giveaways or shops, please.
  • Please note that by linking up your posts and projects you are giving This Gal Cooks, Frugal Foodie Mama, Cooking on the Front Burner and Call Me PMC permission to use your photos in the featured posts and possibly on our social media outlets. All photos will be linked back to your sites and your posts.
  • **Paula, Carrie, Deb and I please ask that you ONLY link up posts that you have not recently linked up to Marvelous Mondays. We have been noticing some repeat posts being linked up recently. To be fair to all party-goers, please only link up NEW posts, posts that you have never linked up to our party or posts that you have not linked up in at least a couple of months. We will not be “policing” post link-ups, but please note that repeat offenders’ posts will not be featured on Marvelous Mondays. Thank you.

    I’m following on Twitter – @thegatheredhome!

  5. You’ve never seen snow?? Come take mine away. It’s snowing right now and projecting 6-8inches by my morning drive arghhh. Good luck with finals! And have a great week :)

    • Nope, I sure haven’t! I really want to see it sometime soon. Now I want to maybe move to a state that has four seasons but I think I will go somewhere that doesn’t have a lot of snow! Thanks so much for stopping by, Zainab! I hope you have a lovely week. Mine will be fantastic once finals are done. :)

  6. Good luck on your finals! Finals weeks are always so stressful. My mom grew up in Miami, and she had never seen snow until she went to college in Utah (then she saw way more than she ever wanted to see). We just had a crazy snowstorm, so I’d be glad to share some of this snow with you. =)

    • They sure are! Between finals and all of the other stuff going on right now, I felt like I was having an anxiety attack last week! Luckily, that has passed.

Aw so your mom knows how it is to be a FL gal who is an adult and hasn’t seen snow. I bet that was a little bit of a shocker to her the first time she saw it. I heard it get’s pretty crazy in Utah with the snow.

Have a great week, Kate! :)

  7. Thanks for the party Julie and good luck with your finals !

  11. I can’t believe you’ve never seen snow! You should visit me right now….it’s been coming down all day and will continue through the night! Hope you have fun on your vacation & thanks for hosting, Julie!

    • Haha, sometimes I can’t believe I’ve never seen it either, Cathy! Thanks so much for stopping by! Try to stay warm. We were watching one of the football games earlier and there was heavy snowfall during the game. It was fun to watch!

  12. Julie! I so excited you are coming to North Carolina! I am currently living in the south Charlottle area. So come west, come west!!

    • Oh that’s awesome, Nancy! How long have you lived there? I think we will be going west for sure one day…we want to go to the mountains. My friend at work said to check out Boone, which is only about 3 hours from Raleigh. Can’t wait to visit there! I noticed that earlier this week they were quite warm, in the 70s for the high. I was saying to myself, if it ends up being warm when we go up there, I’m going to be one unhappy gal!

      • I have lived here my whole my life except 7 years I lived abroad. So 30 years. My big sis is in the Raleigh area. And we were in Boone last month when the leaves changed. We are having COLD weather this weekend so things are looking up for you!

  13. Thank you so much for hosting the link up! I made sure to follow you on Google + and Instagram. =) Good luck on your exams!

  14. Thanks so much for hosting, Julie! Hope you have a wonderful week!!

  18. Thanks for the party Julie! And good luck with finals :)

  19. You’re going to be in NC! And you’re going to be about a 45 minute drive from my parent’s house & where I grew up (where we’ll be from next week for about a month!) Hate to break it to ya, but snow in Raleigh happens generally in February. If it happens at all. That bit of NC sucks for snow. :( Maybe I’ll see you driving around NC! I’ll wave at every car I pass just in case :) We should have planned a bloggy coffee meet!

  20. Hi Julie! Thanks to you and the ladies for hosting the party! We had 9 inches of snow here yesterday and I would be more than happy to send some to you! :) Good luck on your finals!!

  21. Thanks for hosting again Julie and hope you have a wonderful week!

  22. Hi Julie! I came a bit late for the party this week but here I am ;). I still have 2 more semesters left, but I know what you mean. I can’t WAIT to be done! I’ve been to Raleigh once and it was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, we were there for a wedding so I didn’t really get to go sightseeing or anything. Hope you have a wonderful time!

  23. Thanks Julie for featuring my muffins! I love what you two have been up to by the way!
